Tynemouth Prior’s Haven Beach

A bright November morning and a timeless image of a Poppy entertaining a mother and child while they enjoy the clear sunny November air at Priors Haven tynemouth . To the north of the famous ruins of Tynemouth Priory, a sun trap of Priors haven offers peace and solitude . Enjoy this little video clip. Tynemouth Long Sands has long been recognised as one of the best beaches in the UK, and in 2103 was voted by Tripadvisor as the UKs fourth favourite beach. Hidden beyond Tynemouth Priory is the lesser known Prior’s Haven . A small beach within the mouth of the Tyne, sheltered between the Priory and the Spanish Battery, with the Pier access on its north side. Home to the local sailing clubs, it has been a popular beach since Victorain times

Whitley Bay – Whitley Bay’s Spanish City at Low Tide

Whitley Bays Spanish City is an iconic building on the North East coast, sadly ten years of local authority involvement, millions spent on grant aid, and it still is not finished. Part of the decaying grandeur of times past, of days before package holidays, of days when local young men brought their girl friends to Whitley Bay, to thrill them on the Spanish City Fairground, go on the Waltzter, a bag of chips for sustenance, the helter skelter to round off the day, with the obligatory ice cream, to compliment the greasy fish and chips. Those days are gone, te Spanish City is notgu

St Marys Island, Whitley Bay, High Tide, the Jogger the Cyclist and the Car
